Overview

This privacy policy describes how RidingWaves LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Focura macOS application and the focura.io website. We take a minimal-data approach: the website collects only aggregate, non-identifiable analytics, and the app stores all your data locally on your device — never in the cloud. We only receive personal information you choose to send us.

Website

Analytics

The focura.io website uses Vercel Web Analytics to collect aggregate, non-identifiable data about page views, referrers, country, and device type. This data helps us understand how visitors find and use the site. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and no individual visitor profile is built. Vercel Inc. processes this data as our data processor under their Privacy Policy.

Cookies

The website does not set non-essential cookies. Vercel Analytics does not place cookies on your device. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Information you provide voluntarily

If you contact us directly at support@ridingwaves.io, we receive the content of your message and your email address. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed.

If you submit feedback through the feedback form, we store your feedback type, message, and optionally your email address. This information is used solely to understand how to improve Focura. It is stored in Supabase (our data processor) and is not shared with any other third parties or used for advertising. To request deletion of a submission, email support@ridingwaves.io.

Focura App

Local storage

Focura stores your session data, focus history, and workflow configuration locally on your Mac. Your data never leaves your device — it is not transmitted to RidingWaves LLC, synced to any cloud, or shared with any third party. There is no telemetry in the app.

Entitlement verification

To confirm your purchase entitlement, Focura sends two identifiers to api.ridingwaves.io (operated by RidingWaves LLC): a hashed device identifier and your StoreKit originalTransactionId, when present. These records are retained for 24 months and are used solely for entitlement verification. They are not shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used for cross-site or cross-app tracking.

Mac App Store and Apple

Focura is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple handles installation, updates, and purchase or subscription flows. Apple’s processing of App Store-related data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Children

The website and app are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

As Focura evolves — for example, if we add cloud sync, analytics, or subscription features — our data practices may change. We will update this page to reflect those changes. If you continue to use the website or app after an update, you accept the revised policy.
